Nationwide! TV exposure
Doctor's work with kids
draws attention
The Stouffville Tribune
February 27 1991
A
Stouffvillle chiropractor,
renowned for his work with children with learning disabilities, makes a
national television appearance Friday.
Dr. Allen Turner,
35, is scheduled to appear on the Dini Petty Show on CTV (CFTO, channel
9) at 10 a.m. Dr.
Allen R. Turner has gained
international acclaim for his work with children. Patients have visited
his Main Street clinic from across North America and as far away as Brazil,
Europe and Australia. The treatments focus
on putting the skull and bones in proper placement; Dr. Turner has had
especially good results with the treatments on a 9-year-old Aurora girl
suffering from dyslexia and a 12-year-old in Uxbridge whose troubles in
school were traced to a back and skull injury. "He's
helping them overcome instead of just coping with learning disabilities,
said Dr. Turner's wife, Lorna. The problems can range from having trouble with school to dyslexia (the brain's inability to process words and numbers). Dr. Turner opened
his clinic and moved to Stouffville in1983. The Dini Petty Show
episode, to be taped Thursday, will include interviews with two of the
doctor's patients and their parents.
